Company

Business description: Knowlent Corporation is the world leader in electrical verification IP (intellectual property) for high speed chip interfaces such as PCI Express, Serial ATA and XAUI. Knowlent’s products and solutions give you peace of mind by ensuring that your designs are FULLY compliant with the electrical specification of your high-speed interface; while speeding your time to market. Verification IP was synonymous with digital verification IP until now. Knowlent is redefining industry's landscape by extending the verification IP to the electrical level. Knowlent's Opal Platform offers solutions for the electrical layer of the high speed interfaces. The Opal line of Electrical Verification Platforms (EVPs) includes verification IP and an environment aimed at specific interface protocols such as PCI Express, Serial ATA, XAUI, DDRII, etc. Opal is analogous to digital test-bench verification tools for standard interfaces, except that Opal operates at the electrical (analog) level of the interface. Opal works in conjunction with the most popular commercially available circuit or fast-spice simulators. Opal allows designers to rapidly assess compliance of the electrical sub-block in their physical layer (PHY) with a given standard. The product also provides tools that greatly aid and accelerate the debugging process. Opal sets up all tests and extracts results, freeing designers from the uncertainty and monotony of writing their own analog test-benches.
