Y Combinator does seed funding for startups. At Y Combinator, our goal is to get you through the first phase. This usually means: get you to the point where you've built something impressive enough to raise money on a larger scale. We also try to match you up with investors—and in some cases even acquirers. We fund startups in two batches a year, one in winter in Silicon Valley, and one in summer in Cambridge. We're the right choice for a group of two or three young hackers who have an idea, and want some money and advice to get it launched.
